Royce Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Network

Jiu-Jitsu translated from the Japaneses is "the soft hand." Jiu-Jitsu is a grappling based martial art where a practitioner will try and overcome an opponent on the basis of positioning, leverage, and submissions.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is an evolution of the art that has been refined most notably by the Gracie family of Brazil. What the Gracie family championed was that someone skilled in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu could use it to overcome a larger and aggressive fighter using the principals of leverage, positioning and patients even if you are smaller and weaker. The Gracie family continues to refine the art in sport and most importantly street self defense aspects.

Here at Armadura BJJ we pride ourselves in teaching our students the techniques developed by the Gracie family and are honored to be affiliated with the Royce Gracie Network of Academies.
