Winner winner chicken dinner. This past weekend we went down for a quick trip to jersey to spend time with friends and sneak the kids away from a crazy schedule. We ended our trip with some friendly competition throwing axes and we had the best time. It was the Drennen’s Vs the Richmond but really the competition was between Bill and I...I got a bullseye he went for it but guess who’s counted and who didn’t hahahahahaha Dats right your girl!!!7 months ago
I wanted to quit at 10 mins, 15 mins but I stayed for the whole ride. It’s been almost 2 months since I’ve broke a sweat and man did I today. I’m hoping my body is kind to me tomorrow let me tell yah my booty is gonna feel that. Here’s to new adventures in the quest to finding joy in whatever I do.1 year ago
One hour of the most intense workout I’ve done it’s called a progressive workout or a ladder. 12 moves 30 seconds each. Start with one for example Burpees Then move to the next Kettlebell swings Burpees Jumping jacks Kettlebell swings Burpees Then 9 more different workouts then working all the way back to the top. You’re seeing the last minute minus the burpees after it took everything in me to not collapse. When I feel like I can’t do much more and I want to walk away I find those dark places in my mind I remember the times I really had to fight and I turn on a fire that keeps me pushing. 6 weeks ago I wasn’t here mentally. I wanted to walk away from everything. I experienced my lowest of lows last year and as the new year came thru I found that small spark inside and today it’s a big flame because I just kept showing up to ignite it day after day. I walked away from class today absolutely drenched but renewed. Renewed, reminded and ready. I decided I wanted to achieve so I pushed everything aside and made it happen on my terms. Slowly and surely it’s working.1 year ago
Meatball cheesy pizza bowl bake The homemade version of the new meatball pizza bowl from the popular American Italian restaurant, we will call this from the kitchen of the Richmond Garden ;) I would change a couple things for next time more olive oil in the bowl and MORE CHEESE!! I make no apologies for any imperfections of this video or my home as it’s just a way to show you how to make something fun at home for the family. Recipe in comments Share and tag your friends! Let me know if you try it too!1 year ago
Everything is better in a bowl Cold roasted salmon over romaine lettuce with olives, capers, spicy peppers and sweet potato hash. Topped with a tahini coconut dressing. It’s dinner, it sustains me and leaves me feeling completely happy versus overwhelmed and depleted. Finding the balance of what works for YOUR body takes time and it doesn’t fit into any box based off of what’s popular or currently THE BEST THING FOR YOU. It’s about finding what keeps you showing up everyday to make the best choices and leaving you at the end of the day content and healthy. It’s different for everyone and it’s okay to be just that!1 year ago
Shaun T never fails on bringing me to tears. I picked a random workout tonight because I wasn’t able to make it to the gym today because of LIFE and instead of just not doing anything I pulled my favorite trainer card and pressed play. To be honest Bill and I had a rough day together, typical relationship disagreements which for us usually stems from miscommunication and lack of time spent together. The last thing I wanted to do was workout with him but it turned into the best thing for us. No matter how many years pass by or ridiculous fights we have we always have each other’s backs and when it comes down to it, I wouldn’t want to fight for life or fight with anyone else.1 year ago
Im always inspired after visiting my Moms house. Passion and talent run deep there. I had to share this with you! It’s truly hard to put into words the incredible art Richard E. Theroux Jr. my step dad has recently created. Small, detailed incredible wave sculptures that are absolutely stunning. Locally sourced Southern Rhode Island driftwood and collected shells to add extra detail. These pieces range from $35-$200 depending on size. All pieces can be shipped within the US. I had to take a video and share in short what an amazing talent he has and how anyone tied to the ocean would just love something like this. I can share more info please just let me know.1 year ago
Oh man this looks amazing!! Tastes incredible! Creamy cauliflower, cashew Alfredo sauce that I’m serving with butternut squash which I peeled into pappardelle sized noodles. I wish I could take credit for this recipe but the genius behind it can be found at http://www.theglowingfridge.com/creamy-cashew-cauliflower-alfredo/1 year ago
My internet broke with 12 minutes left of streaming Country heat and will a sore arm and shoulder I wanted to get some low impact sweat on so I hopped on the elliptical. Ugh I remember why I hate that thing, I don’t like staying in one place and my mind is like WHATS NEXT... It’s one of the reasons why I hated going to the gym, with no knowledge how to create a plan for myself or even know what to do on the machines I was left being a hamster on a wheel and no desire to show up everyday. One of the best things that happened to me outside of working with a personal trainer was a set of DVDs I bought to play in my living room. T25, it was my introduction to LOVING fitness and creating a lifestyle of fit. From there I conquered almost every single one of my at home workouts and now that I’ve relit my fire I’m ready to conquer some more!2 years ago
